Through the generosity of a kind donor, Rumah Aman (Shah Alam) received as a gift, two pieces of land located on a hilltop of Sungai Buloh Country Resort, overlooking Saujana Utama in the Mukim of Ijok, Kuala Selangor, Selangor Darul Ehsan.
The total land area received is about 3,338.84 sq. meters (36,000 sq. feet). The location of the land is situated about 30 minutes drive from Shah Alam.
We plan to build our second orphanage, presently known as Rumah Aman 2, on that land. The planned build up area would be almost 1,461 sq. meters (15,705 sq. feet). It will house about 60 children complete with hostel facilities, classrooms and office area.
The orphanage will be a two storey building with six classrooms, a library, an activity room, a computer room, a teachers’ room, an office room, a meeting room, an activity hall, a staff pantry, a dining hall, kitchen, a chill room and a dry store on the ground floor.
The first floor will consist of eight bedrooms for the children, four bedrooms for the housemother and staff under her supervision and for trainees from higher institutions of learning to do their practical work. There is also a musolla (praying room) for men and women, a television area, a sick bay, bathrooms and toilet facilities.
We plan to move the 30 boys presently housed in Rumah Aman Shah Alam to Rumah Aman 2 and add another 30 more boys there. The new intake will consist of orphaned boys and boys from the poor, age between three to six years old.
Rumah Aman Shah Alam will then be turned into a girl’s orphanage and welfare home where we hope to house 30 poor orphaned girls and girls from the poor age between three to six years old. We will care for them until they are 18 years old.
We will need to raise about RM2 million to build Rumah Aman 2. We only need 2,000 people contributing RM1,000.00 each to make this dream come true. The full amount of RM1,000.00 can be banked into our account or can be contributed in four or five installments in a period of one year.
